  4. The Bosch unit is not too bad. I wear ear plugs no matter what the sound level is. Please read my past column at my website about how noise like that causes cumulative hearing damage.

  6. Thank you for the video.

At my house we use a Kirby.

How long do Kirby’s tend to last??

Is there much need in replacing them??

    Thnak you for your time.

  7. My Ridgid model came with an accessory muffler. They are all loud…… Perhaps there is a quiet portable vac, but my guess it is not powerful.

  11. i’m not planning to post videos.i just think you misinformed people by saying clogs are impossible.just because you have a video channel, doesn’t make you an expert.

  12. Thanks again! Without a video presence, no one knows if you are a professional or an impostor. Years ago someone coined a great phrase that speaks directly to comments made by others about YouTube videos. I am sure you remember it: Actions speak louder than words. Anyone can write a derogatory comment. But it takes a different person to rise to the next level. Sorry to hear you will not be one of those people so we learn from you.

  15. Wow a lot of miss informed people. Central vacuums get the dirt out of the home and are exhauted out side!Central vacuums are lasting about 20 years or more I sell and install Central vacuums if INSTALLED correctly most will not clog. the 1 1/4″ hose feeds into a 2″ line butt at the wall inlet there is a short 90* that should stop items like a pin or a kids toy. so when you remove the hose the item is right there. the system in the video is out dated.

  18. Hey, Great video. I want to buy one. But, I have a question. I do not have carpet in my house. However, my house have 4floors (basement included)and about 40×30 feet each floor. Do I need a powerfull central vacuum or a 400$ would do the thing?
    Thanks

  19. Let price be your barometer. The more expensive machines usually work better. Price many models and do online research for performance reviews.

  21. we had one in the past couple houses we lived in, to me I didn’t like lugging around a 30ft hose but again this is personal preference, I’m not saying at all that a central vac is bad I will say they are great got alot of power but it just wasn’t as convienient for me to own one as it was a traditional upright which I have a Riccar very good brand of vacuums if you don’t prefer central vac

  23. Really???? Can you share any independent sources on the Web where this is discussed? I’ve not heard a word about this at all.

  24. I tried to find the website again but I can’t find it, but I heard that they need to be vented outside and when it snows, it freezes the vent cover closed and the vacuum heats up really hot and could catch on fire.

  25. I have one of these…. i hate it. The hose is a pain its long and cumbersome. I never use it….. I just use my Miele now…. I really regret spending all the money on the centrai vac.
